Three Funny Stories That Will Make You Laugh!

Posted on October 31, 2026

1. The New Substitute Teacher

One morning, Little Johnny arrived at school and discovered that his regular teacher had been replaced by a substitute.

The new teacher smiled at the students and introduced herself.

“Good morning, everyone! My name is Mrs. Prussy. When you address me, remember that there is an ‘R’ immediately after the first letter of my name.”

The entire class greeted her politely.

“Good morning, Mrs. Prussy!”

A few days passed, but the regular teacher still hadn’t returned.

When Johnny entered the classroom, the substitute teacher asked him, “Young man, do you remember my name?”

Johnny scratched his head and thought for a moment.

“I remember you told us there was an ‘R’ after the first letter,” he replied.

“Exactly!” the teacher said proudly. “Now, can you remember my name?”

Johnny paused, looked at her, and confidently answered:

“Mrs. Crunt?”

2. The 80-Year-Old Lady on a Cruise

An elderly woman was enjoying a relaxing cruise when she stopped at the ship’s bar and ordered a Scotch with exactly two drops of water.

The bartender prepared her drink.

As he handed it over, she smiled and explained, “I’m celebrating my 80th birthday today!”

“Happy birthday, ma’am!” the bartender replied. “Your first drink is on the house.”

After finishing her Scotch, a woman sitting nearby offered to buy her another drink.

“That’s very kind of you,” the elderly lady said. “I’ll have another Scotch with two drops of water, please.”

A little later, a gentleman sitting on her other side offered to pay for her next drink as well.

The lady thanked him and repeated her unusual order.

The bartender finally couldn’t control his curiosity.

“Ma’am, I hope you don’t mind me asking, but why do you always request exactly two drops of water with your Scotch?”

The elderly woman burst into laughter.

“My dear boy, at my age, I’ve learned how to handle my alcohol. But drinking water is an entirely different challenge!”

3. Never Underestimate an Elderly Customer

One afternoon, an elderly woman walked into a bank and approached the counter.

She handed her bank card to the young female teller.

“I’d like to withdraw $500, please,” she said politely.

The teller barely looked up.

“Ma’am, withdrawals below $5,000 should be made using the ATM. Please use the machine outside.”

The old woman calmly asked, “And why can’t you help me here?”

The teller replied impatiently, “Those are our banking procedures. There are other customers waiting, so please don’t hold up the line.”

She returned the bank card.

The elderly woman didn’t argue. Instead, she handed the card back and said:

“Very well. In that case, I’d like to withdraw every dollar in my account.”

The teller took the card and checked the balance.

Her eyes widened when she discovered that the woman had approximately $3.5 million deposited in the bank.

Her attitude immediately changed.

“I’m terribly sorry, ma’am,” she said respectfully. “You have $3.5 million in your account. Unfortunately, we don’t have enough cash available to give you the entire amount today. Would you mind returning tomorrow?”

The old woman calmly asked, “So, how much can you give me right now?”

The teller quickly checked.

“We can arrange a withdrawal of up to $300,000 today.”

“Excellent,” the woman replied. “I’ll take $300,000.”

The teller immediately processed the transaction and handed her the money with a polite smile.

The elderly woman counted the cash, placed $500 into her handbag, and handed the remaining $299,500 back to the teller.

“Please deposit the rest back into my account.”

The teller stood speechless.

MORAL OF THE STORY:

Never judge someone by their age or appearance. Older people have spent a lifetime learning lessons that younger generations are still discovering!
